leaking rear end
my 98 blazer lt has a leak in the rear on the right side coming from the plastic cover that the rear light is in, i traced the most likely culprit to some surface rusting on the hinges. so i clean em up and put 2 count em 2 tubes of flowable silicone around the hinges and they still freakin leak when it rains or i wash it.
anyone else have a similiat problem and was it ever fixed? im about ready to pull the rear gate off and jbweld or something, thankfully i have a plastic cover keeping the carpet from getting wet but my speaker box is in danger if i forget to slide away when it rains. |

Re: leaking rear end
it's not coming from your windshield washer fluid line to the back window is it?

Re: leaking rear end
no it only does it when its raining or at the car wash and you can watch it come out from the big plastic cover the rear dome light is in. i checked my 3rd brake light and it wasnt screwed down tight so i siliconed it and tightened it, hopefully that it, ill know when it rains if it was

Re: leaking rear end
well still leaking (just rained) but im 99% sure its from the 3rd brake light, upon closer inspection the plastic has cracked and will not tighten down, it just flops about. so ima whip out the plastic weld and silicone and hook it up
