key stuck..

I just got a 97 GMC jimmy and the key got stuck in the ignition twice tonight, it wouldn't rotate all the way and release the key. got it out, but now it won't go in. Do I need a new switch? or is their some way to fix the current one?

unless the key's really rounded, I'd try some graphite in the cylinder (get at wal-mart by the key machine) Graphite helps to lubricate the cylinder & allows the individual tumblers to move freely
