just got an 04 blazer...but title says trailblazer....wtf

in 04 chevy made both the blazer and trailblazer. on the doors it says trailblazer.....but its an s series truck...wtf anyone else have one?

I'm tempted to say that they called the S-Blazer the Trailblazer the last year of it's run, before the more commonly recognized Trailblazer was released.

There was a trailblazer package for the s series blazers and a envoy package for the Jimmy's.

I pulled the door panels off on my 01 Blazer to fix the outside door handles, and the door panels have Trailblazer stamped on the inside.

but it doesnt say trailblazer on the doors or on the back. i say one before in town that said it. i would like to find the factory emblems. i looked on ebay but no luck. maybe a newer trailblazer would work.

Nope, the trailblazer package was an addon for the last couple years, basically included everything that was on the LT along with TrailBlazer badging and a two tone (and in my opinion kinda ugly) interior.

So far as I know they didn't make any 2 door Trailblazers, but I'm not 100% there either.

The last 2 years, 04-05 had trailblazer option. It was a fully loaded option for the blazer. The rest of the s-series blazers usualy have wagon on their title, but that also depends on the state. The trailblazer and envoy options where for the 4 door only (2dr loaded that way was still the zr2), and all had 4wd if i remember correctly.

That's all correct except the years, the TrailBlazer package was offered from 99, and I believe only ran till 02 (when the actual TrailBlazer came out) as at that point 4 door Blazers were only produced as fleet vehicles.
