Is there a way to........
ok, i have a 98' chevy blazer, and the back hatch open's upward, is there a way to take the whole hatch off? I have rust building up underneath the light and is working its way down. any help would be great, thanks.

Drop gate or hatch? You can just unbolt the glass from the hinge at the top on the drop gate. You can unbolt the whole lift gate, I'm just not sure what it involves.

you can open the window and it will go up, and you can also open the whole thing like a van, i want to take it off, cause of the rust. its getting pretty bad. lol

It's called a lift gate. Find the hinges and unbolt it. You'll want a couple friends to hold it while you do it unless you want the whole thing on your head when you unbolt it.
