Unhappy Is 4lo and 4hi possible at the same time?

It's a '00 Blazer, 105,000 miles. When I put it in 4hi it engages then rolls10 to 20 ft. freely and then acts like I moderately stepped on the brakes (front only). It gets worse if I turn. I haven't tried it over 5-10 mph because I don't want to break stuff. Could it be engaging the front wheels in 4lo and the rear wheels in 4hi?

Im not sure exactly what your talking about, but you can have the t-case in 4-hi and 4-lo at the same time; and especially not different for each axle.

I pushed the button for 4hi and when it engaged it kind of acted like the front wheels were in 4lo and the rear were in 4hi.

The front wheels cant be in 4lo or the rears in 4hi...the lo and high just mean which wheels are getting the majority of the power. So i suppose you wires could be crossed and when you go into Lo it really goes into high and vice versa

He's saying the wiring might be crossed/reversed so when you press the 4high button you maybe accually be engauging the 4low instead. I doubt it though
