Question interesting problem with blazer

i have a 97 chevy blazer ls and for some reason my windshield wipers like to intermittently work when they decide to work. this means there are times that when i get into the truck turn the engine on and try to use them, they decide not to work. when i move the switch around or attempt to use the washers it sounds like the motor is running but just not working. this happens every now and then. not all the time, so im just confused. i have already had the multifunction switch replaced.

also my rear speakers are doing something similar to the windshield wipers. there are times when i get into my truck, turn it on, and the rear speakers wont work, but then there are times when i will get it and the speakers will work just fine. so i dunno whats going on. if anyone else has had the same problem please let me know what i can do to fix it.

Re: interesting problem with blazer

there could be a ground prob with the wippers but the prob with the speakers sounds a little confusing unless you have a loss conction at the speakes them self or a prob with the stereo

Re: interesting problem with blazer

I have a dealer and 99% of the blazers,s10 pickups,c1500's, astro that i have sold have had this same problem. Chevy had a recall on the wiper motor because of very very bad solder connections. Its a very easy fix just take out the control board that is located on the inside of the wiper motor and fix the four big connections on the little green board. That should solve your problem i have done it so many times i could do it in my sleep good luck.

yup, its the circuit board, my 98 did this crap all the time, the worked when they wanted to, and half of the time when they didnt work was in the pouring rain, i replaced that board and no probs after that, we sell them like crazy where i work, pm me if you want a part number, or you could try to fix the original one too
