Im new here

Hello all, im new here, but I have been peeking into the board. Im thinking of getting a 98+ Bravada for me and my family. Can anyone suggest what to look for when looking? What are the differences in models 98 and after?
I also own another GM vehicle and post on another board,
Thanks

Charles

Charles, Are you dead set on the Bravada? I like the Bravada too but it's the AWD system that makes me avoid them. I prefer the Jimmy or Blazer because I can choose 2wd, 4wd or Auto Awd.

My main reason for choosing this truck over the other 2 trucks are b/c, most come standard with leather and the wood trim. Are there any major problems with this truck? Its got the same tranny as the other turcks right? I really dont know much at all about these trucks, I just thought that they were pretty much all made the same, just by different companies in GM.
Thanks for the info, if there is anything else, please let me know.

Re: Im new here

You can get the same interior in a loaded up Jimmy Diamond Edition (wood trim etc).

I like the Bravada, don't get me wrong. I like the outside styling (bumper cover, side moldings etc) probably the best of all the S-series SUVs. My biggest gripe is the electronic All Wheel Drive system. Even the new style Bravadas (2002+) have lots of problems with this system. I work PT at a GM dealership so I see them in for repair often.

Here's the interior of a Jimmy Diamond Edtion with the wood trim etc

They are harder to find than standard Jimmys. They were limited production in 2000 and 2001. Do a search on Autotrader.com for 2000-2001 Jimmy. You can always tell by looking at the picture if it's a Diamond Edition or not. Sometimes the seller lists it's a Diamond Edition in the text, but not always. The Diamond Edition only came in Pewter, Majestic Red, Indigo Blue and Black. I have a Blue one.

Pricing is all over the map, sometimes less sometimes more depending on the seller.

They're out there, sometimes "Diamond Edition" isn't always listed in the title. Here's some examples I found on AutoTrader.

Thanks for the help Steve. I will have to shape up my credit in order to get the note close to where I want it. I will also want to see if I can find one that is within 200 miles of my zip code. My wife like that truck better than the bravada, but I think the problem will be finding one when the time approaches.

Re: Im new here

How much are you wanting to spend? Miles? etc? Maybe I can make you a deal on a Blue 00 Diamond Edition.
