i hate blazer bumpstops!
ha yeah i hate them and there stupid crooked frame in the back! im taking them out and my grinder wont fit in all the spots becase of the bend in the frame so i pulled the sawzall out and its still takeing forever! and thats with 17 dollor blades lol ones almost off but im taking a break and letting the sawzall cool down any one got any amazing ideas on taking them off any other ways?
heres a pic just because ![]() the back was sitting on the bumpstops so it should drop alittle more its a 5/6 drop ![]() |

i use a plasma, but you can run the outside bead with a cutoff wheel, then just cut the rest off from directly below the frame.
you may want to put in a new bumpstop or c-notch it, that axle is going to be smacking the frame pretty quick. i would also cut the bracket off the axle housing as well, its pretty large and can contact stuff if you notch it. |

having the floor cut out made mine way easier to cut off.
but they were still a big pain. i used the grinder on all of them. |

yeah ill be putting a low pro bumpstop in it as soon as i figure out were its hitting and if its bad i think ill just throw some 2 inch blocks in it i dont think i wanna notch it but we will see how bad it is heck who knows a notch may be in my future...

o and is there anything else i need to do in the rear i fliped my brake lines but thats it any other stuff i need to change around to play it safe?

I lowered my blazer 5/6 and I just installed a sd bolt in notch today. It was not too bad took about 3 hours with me and my dad. We used a sawzall and a cutting torch for most of the cutting. Rides good now with plenty of suspension travel.
