HVAC issues

Had my Jimmmy a week so far. When I bought it the A/C worked great. But the blend control was stuck on full cold all the time. I took it back to the dealer. They flushed the Dex-Cool and the Heater core. Now that the core provides heat all I have is quite hot air on A/C mode or reallt hot air on heat mode. The Compressor is still working when A/C is selected and there is ice forming on the lines. The compressor is working.

It seems like a simple problem of the cold/hot dial is either broken or something in the blend system is just not working right. Before I drop a bunch of cash into the wrong thing I'd love some direction.

Thanks

Re: HVAC issues

Sounds really odd. Especially if the compressor and lines are sending the ac air someplace. Maybe clogged lines? But flushing the heater core is good none-the-less.

Re: HVAC issues

It was flushed for free (usually $129) makes real good heat now. After sitting overnight the blend door is back in the cold position. I think it might be the control. At $94 I might just get a new one. The Ohm readings on the control do not change when the knob is turned. Seems to be in the 64-69 Ohm range no matter the position.

I think the most irritating thing was the lack of Quality Control at the dealer. Someone should have checked the knob was working after the flush. Same issue with the Wipers. The certification check uncovered that the wipers don't turn off so they replaced the stick. I had to get them to do the control board also at a cost to me of $100.
