how rare

Exactly how rare is a 5 speed 2 door 2 wheel drive blazer? I am curious. I have a 2002 with the 5 speed in it.

Re: how rare

I'm not sure about "rare", but uncommon and desirable would suit them well.

Re: how rare

i would agree. i have only seen two in my short lifetime that were second gen. I happen to own four 2 door 2WD first gen. blazer/jimmy's, only one of which is a 5 speed.

Re: how rare

A friend of mine got rid of his 2000 2DR 2WD 4.3L/5 Spd Blazer a few months back. I wanted that thing so bad, but didn't have the funds to take it off his hands. He's not a minitrucker so he didn't see the potential for it like I did.

Re: how rare

I almost swapped trannies with a guy that had a 5 speed. I really wish I would have done that.

Like the guys have been saying. The 5speed is much rarer than an auto. But not anything too crazy.

Re: how rare

back when i bought my 01 Blazer X i wanted a 5 speed, but even doing a dealer locate for the 48 states couldnt find one.

I was going to order one, but found one local with everything i wanted, and nothing i didnt except the auto trans.

I have seen a few of them working as a tech at a gm dealer, but not very often.

Im going to be doing an 408 LS1/T56 swap into a 96 S10 that is a factory 4.3/5 speed and ive been think a 5 speed bravada would be cool.
