Re: how low can u go???

id say 4" thats what im thinking anyways, its 4wd though, why not raise it? or buy a 2wd blazer. Lowering a 4wd is just wrong in my book, but it is different lol

Re: how low can u go???

i lowered it because i cant afford to lift it and figured it would look good lowered on some 20's or 22's. im just not sure if its 3 or 4 inchs before the front drive shafts start binding. (all wheel drive would be sweet)

Re: how low can u go???

You're not going to be able to go really low with a static suspension if you plan on eventually running 20's or 22's. It can be done, but its a PITA when you get ready to turn your wheels.

PITA = Pain In The Ass

Just measure it after you've already got the wheel on with your wheels turned as far as you can. I'm running Belltech 2" drop coils in the front of my truck with 20's. I'm rubbing my frame and my anit-sway bar when I turn to full lock and that can't be helped, but if I put on more than about another inch of drop I would start rubbing on my fenders. You defintly don't want that. The last thing you want to happen is drop it a lot, then spend the money on wheels just to find out you can only turn your wheels an inch or so before you start ripping up your tires and fender sheet metal.

front fenders are the same thought right? how did you get away with not rubbing on the fender?

i'm not saying that he CAN'T do it, i was just saying that he might run into issues.

i dont rub at all i have a 245/35/20. blazers are just dumb and sit up higher than s-10s my 5/6 drop looks like a 4/5 when compared to a 5/6 on an s10.

That would be one of the differences. My truck is running a 245/45/20 on a 2/4. I've only got about an inch of clearence that I could lower mine before I started hitting my fenders.

yea im doing this on a 98 jimmy, but BMXBANG is their a difference between 2 and 4 wheel drive as far as how low u can go with 20s? and what BS r u running front and rear because when i get the 20s i would like them to sit the same and not in more in the rear.

Re: how low can u go???

lower 4x4 on 20's? If you dont have money to lift it where are you going to get the money for the 20's? I hate 20's on 4x4's they look sooo outta place.

Id just raise it on soft 8's it would look good. plus those wheels are cheap.

i drive 45 minutes to work thats why i cant aford it, and me and my dad own a tire shop and i sell wheels soo.... but anyways i just like the low look better anyways. i put soft 8s on it when i first got the truck but put them on my s10 when i sold it and went back to the stockers cause they had new tires on them.
