hood problems

i went to go open my hood today and it wont open. it looks like the cable snapped. anyone know how to open it without using that???????

well it may not be snapped i had this problem....what you do is have someone hold the hood relase lever for you, and as your facing the hood just to the right is where its latch bump it with the side of your fist a few times and it should pop open...could be snapped but gms are notorious for not popping free
