the cowl itself caused a lot of damage, it actually went through the windshield completely... and no room for the latch, intercooler takes up all the space.

when i bought the truck, only oil pressure and tach worked. i re-did the gauges from scratch actually, including both gauge bezel and dash bezel, because it was cracked.

there is a bit dash trimming envolved to sink the gauges deeper, the black part of the dash bezel needs to be cut out as well, and there are two black light bulbs on the sides of the cluster that dash needs to be trimmed for.

then what you basically do, is combine your cluster with the vette cluster. use your motors behind the vette gauges, and your circuit board...

its as accurate as your old gauges were. needles need to be re-set once all done, and some lines blacked out so that you dont see them..

blazer and vette cluster, thats all...you arent going to use any of the vette cluster insides. the lights get unsoldered from the blazer circuit board, and attached to vette cluster with wires. on my truck i wired abs, high beam, brake, check engine, and turn signals..

Re: hood flew open

that would be pretty tight if they hooked up to the 95-97 dash but doubt they will probably have to do the swap to te 98 dash and while doing that swap the vette cluster in there.

just get the pin hood man and windshield replacement should only be like $150 thats how much mine was when mine happened. local shop did it.
