hitch interchangeabilty

I've got a 2001 Blazer 4 door, and I've found a couple of trailer hitches in local junk yards on 96 and 97 Blazers. Will they bolt onto mine?

Re: hitch interchangeabilty

I don't see why not. I'm pretty sure the frames are the same in the back for all S10's and Blazers 4wd or 2wd, so they should fit just fine.

Re: hitch interchangeabilty

id say the hitch will fit fine but all frames are not the same.

s10s are all by them selves

2dr 2wd blazers/jimmy will be the same

2dr 4wd will be the same

i think you see where it going...

Really? I thought all the frames were the same only in the back.

Re: hitch interchangeabilty

From the doors back the frames are the same, as long as they have the same number of doors.

Re: hitch interchangeabilty

i am not sure if they will be the same or not. the design of the rear bumpers are differnet and i know that with mine i had to remove the factory bumper brackets and use the hitch as the new bumper bracket. I am not sure how the 94-97 attaches but you may want to call your local gm dealer and ask if they use the same part number just to be safe.

I should have been more specific. I meant just the blazers. The rear half a 2wd blazer is the same as a 4wd blazer.
