HELP: All Warning Lights Come on after Flashing the High Beams, and Motor Dies

This problem just arose about two days ago. While driving on the freeway, I flashed my highbeams. The radio cut out, all the warning lights came on, RPMs went to zero. All this happened for less than a second, but continued to occur if I flashed my highbeams. This morning I did the same thing to see if the problem was still there, and at a full stop the motor died, guages went dark,and then all came back on, and I had to restart the truck.

Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone?

yeah get the Alt checked.

I've seen something similar to this on a Nissan. If you turned on the lights while running the car would die. It ended up being a bad connection on the battery.

also check ur headlight grounds

when i turned my truck on my alternator would stay trying on and all my gauges did that..so maybe that could be it? listen for it i guess..
