Headlight wiring
I can't imagine why the USA made cars has that poor lightning when compared to europeans (and the sealed beam glare even more than H4). My Blazer ( only 2 small H 6545 sealed units) use to drive me at night for long distances and I wanted to improve the beam efficiency using relays (headlight "wiring" in the How to section). I spent one day of detailed job and everything finally was nice, good improvement. But the next night everything failed and I got a permanent Hi (it happened after a little bump). After checking everything I have no idea of the problem. I simply remove the relays and put all the wires in the OEM style and now is right (but with the OEM poor light). I believe is the hi/lo switch sending some voltage to the hi relay, or the common ground I used for the best installation or whatever (my Blazer was bougth used and I don't have DRL but maybe was OEM installed, no crossing or "blinking" lights also). Any ideas?.

Re: Headlight wiring
Do yourself a favor and do the '95-'97composite conversion....best mod I've done. You can also do the '98+ conversion, but it is a little more involved.

Re: Headlight wiring
Everything OK again now. Was a faulty crappy Hella (imitation?) relay. So the Hi were always on and the blue lite at the cluster dimmed when Lo were on. Your info. Much better Hi now.
