headlight retainer clips!!! Help pls !
Ok so I went to the local chevy dealer today and was goin 2 purchase sum headlight retainer clips 4 my frontend conversion....so the dealer is tryin 2 charge me 19 bucks a clip and he told me the 01 clips where cheaper but wouldn't work 4 a 98 core support..now to my knowledge 98 to 01 are interchangable rite? Pls tell me this guy doesn't kno what he's talking about.... thanks for your time guys

I say buy the cheap one and call their bluff. See if you can bring them back if. Then if they don't just return them.

Or another idea go onto GM parts direct and see if they are the same part number for the two years.

The prices on those clips skyrocketed. I remember looking for it last year, they were 5 bucks each from LMC now they are 20 each. I ended up getting mine thru a friend of mine that owns a body shop, 50 bucks for all 4

That might be because they have stopped making them and the whole supply and demand law is coming into play. |

lol... i have put so many different front ends on mine that i have like 10 clips... but i think there is a difference in the 01 cause they didnt work right on the 98 rad support... the rivit was higher up on the 01 i think.. sucks tryin to peice you truck back together after an acident..
