headlight question???????????

I have a 01 jimmy sls, everytime I hit the turn signal on when my daytime running lights are on the headlights go out. Is there a short or does this just happen??????????

thats supposed to be like that, the day time running lights go off when you put your blinker on. there all like that

Its a safety feature that the GMC's have.I guess because the light and signal are so close together,they designed them to go out so you wouldnt confuse the light with the signal.

Ya,Jimmy and Bravadas dunno bout Envoys,but the Bravada/Jimmy share front light assemblies.

I wanted to get the envoy headlights and just run aftermarket ballasts and bulbs (play and play stuff) but I wasn't sure on how that would effect the life of the bulbs?
