HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

Has anyone noticed differences in their frames compared to other s10 truck or blazers? The frmae under my 02 S10 Blazer looks very very much lower than other trucks. Maybe it's just because i recognize my truck more than others? It seems as if right after the front tires, the frame drops really low and merges back up under the truck towards the rear tires, does anyone know something i dont about this?

Re: HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

Yes, most definately an inch....that kind of makes me not to even lower my blazer anymore. You know, the more and more i research about the blazer, it comes out to be a POS, i mean the whole idea on how the rear glass actuator has no way of easy repair, and this frame issue...pretty damn dumb to me.

Re: HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

97- Blazer frames are the same as the S-10's. 98+ frames are made a little different and yes sit about an inch higher, I believe the brackets that are welded to the frame are placed higher up as a 4/5 drop on a 98+ blazer looks like a 3/4 drop when compared to a S-10,this was done because GM is gay.

Welcome to the forum, you are an idiot, please go somewhere else, thank you.
If you are complaining about fixing an actuator, which is not that hard, then you do not need to drop your Blazer, in fact you need to sell it and buy a KIA. Maybe your Blazer is a POS, because the owner of it is a dumb POS?

Re: HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

There's a guy around here that has a 95 dropped 5/6 and it sits like an s-10 with a 5/6. Norcal SS was going to buy some 97- bodymounts for his 98+ blazer but found out that wasn't the difference. You can message him, he knows exactly what the difference is in the two frames, but I'm pretty sure it's where the brackets are welded, then again it may be the entire frame. I just know the 97- sit just like an S-10

Re: HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

Yeah I know the frame on the 4drs is a lot bigger than the S-10, I was talking about how the 98+ sat up a lot higher. Sorry if I confused some of you. I may be totally wrong about this though, this is just what I've heard

Re: HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

I don't know it's just what I was told. I'm waiting for a reply from Norcal SS on this, maybe he can shed some light on it. The frame might be the same size, but look at Russell's Blazer and the one in the pic and then look at the fender well gap, it looks like the 2nd one has a lot more.

Re: HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

I will agree that 4 doors seem to sit lower (suspension wise) than 2 doors from the factory

Re: HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

Naw I'm saying all the 98+ Blazers sit higher. Here's a thread where Norcal SS talks about the 98+ sitting up higher, he thought it was the body mounts, but found out that wasn't it. I can't find the one where it tells what the difference really is.

Here's a little more discriptive thread on it.

Re: HaS ANYONE NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN THEIR FRAMES?

i thought we were talking about the frame hanging below the body, not fender gap. either way, i think that they are pretty much the same, no 1" difference.

And there is an easy way to fix the rear actuator. Look here and you will see:
