Getting little or no heat here.......

With the temp set all the way to hot - it only blows lukewarm air.

Clogged heater core?

If so, what's the remedy?

Re: Getting little or no heat here.......

It's probably the heater core. I took mine to a diy car wash and shot pressurized water through there and it did the trick. Be careful if the engine's hot!

Re: Getting little or no heat here.......

I felt both of the lines going to a from the heater core..............they are both hot.

That should mean that the core isn't plugged - right?

Is there some sort of valve or actuator inside the dash that wouldn't let it open?

Where is the thermostat on this thing?:shame:

Re: Getting little or no heat here.......

It'll only take you ten minutes and a pair of pliers to see if its clogged. The two heaters hoses are held onto the intake with hose clamps. (At least mine are.) Just squeeze them with pliers and slide the clamps back on the hoses. Pop the hoses off, then put a water hose to them and shoot water through each hose. You'll see from the start if there is a clog because you won't get that much water out the opposite hose you're putting water into. Alternate hoses a few times and the clog will spit right out. Replace hoses & clamps, then top off reservoir and you're done.
