Fuel sending unit

I just bought a '95 four door Jimmy 4.3. The fuel gauge is not working. Is there a way to test this without removing the tank ? Based on what I've ben reading it looks like thats the problem. Whats involved in removing this tank if needed? TIA

Re: Fuel sending unit

If the 2dr is anything like the 4dr then the job isnt that hard just make sure you have very little gas in the tank. makes for removal and installation easier... i just recently did mine and since my truck is lowered i lift the entire truck on jack stands which gives me a lil more clearance room to work around.
