Frame problem. NeeD hELp!

I have a 96 s-10 4x4 4 door with 13x,xxx miles on it. On the frame right where is starts to do the down bend behind the front suspension there is a crack on both rails that starts at the bottom and goes about half way up on both sides. It looks like it has just broke and not from a wreck. Has anyone else heard of this happening? Or better yet have it happen to them? Is it fixable or would it be better just to part it out? Any help would be great!!
thanks a ton!

Re: Frame problem. NeeD hELp!

i would take it to a body shop.. they charged me 500 bucks to straighten my frame in that same spot.. i got hit by a damn volvo though... that damn car pushed the tire in 1 inch and back 3 inches... untill i got it there i seriosly thought my truck was totalled... but these frames are pretty durable apperntly... i dont know why your frame would be cracked there... someone must have took it over a few jumps or something..lol

Re: Frame problem. NeeD hELp!

i want to say yes... but im not 100% positive... the guy hit me doing roughly 40mph and for the amount of damge that was causd i didnt even have a scratch... the frame took alot of the impact cause he hit me dead square in my front passenger tire... but 3 hours labor at the body shop and its streight as an arrow... its good to know the owner at the best body shop in PA...lol like literally voted best in the state year after year...
