Extended Warranty...

So... a couple weeks ago I purchased a brand used 1999 Bravada with 113k on the odo. It cost me $3750 with the trade in of my pos car. I also just purchased a 5-year 80,000 mile Power Shield warrant from warrantydirect.com, for like $1500. Was/is it worth it? I still have the opportunity to cancel but would like all of your opinions on whether or not I should keep it. It covers http://www.carwarranty.com/whats_covered.asp

Please give me your honest opinions on this coverage concerning this particular vehicle...

Thanks in advance,
Ryan Sajdak

Re: Extended Warranty...

If the transmission has not been replaced it will soon have to be. Its rare to see a 700R4 go beyond 100000 miles for long. 1 good repair and it will pay for itself. My problem is actually getting the insurance company to pay. Research the company really good. See if there are any complaints about it paying.
Item #2 is my biggest issue.
Your Responsibilities -
a) Change the engine oil and filter within sixty (60) days of the warranty start date.

b) Have the engine oil and filter changed by a commercial service facility every four (4) months or four thousand miles thereafter, whichever comes first.

c) Maintain your vehicle according to the manufacturer's recommendations as outlined in the owner's manual

d) Retain verifiable receipts for all parts and materials necessary to perform the required maintenance. Hand written receipts will not be accepted.
