2.5 out of the headers into a y then a single inlet flowmaster dumped right at the rear axle.

Re: Exhaust on blazers...
Its not that bad, only at certain RPMs. Nothing the radio doesn't cover up.

Re: Exhaust on blazers...
the 4.3 and 40 series dont mix well imo, on the highway it would hit a certain frequency and everything inside would start rattleing and reverberating

I have some glass packs my grandfather had in a 73 (i believe) gmc jimmy that i got and was wondering how they would sound with a replacement tailpipe. yea ik ive heard glass packs suck but its what ive got to work with and these a a lil different style |

Re: Exhaust on blazers...
I piped in a Borla muffler...
only cause the stealership changed the factory muffler 3x due to loose baffles... after going to the borla (lazy s bend) no issues... it has a nice throat to it... but a v6 will never sound like a v8, regardless of what muffler you put on it... |

Re: Exhaust on blazers...
Not a blazer but I just put a Thrush offset center muffler on my sonoma with no cat and it sounds pretty good. I can honestly hardly hear it in the truck.

Re: Exhaust on blazers...
and don't buy any performance related parts from LMC, they (as well as most of the stuff they sell) are cheaper at lots of other places. |

Re: Exhaust on blazers...
No dumps!
The drone is garbage regardless of the muffler you choose... so IMHO always finish the pipe out! Cool sound at first, making the 262 sound close to a bigger block. But it will wear on you. I've got a system that hammers and it still wouldn't stop the drone while maintaining speed limits... |

Re: Exhaust on blazers...
Before I swapped in the supercharged 6 liter, I was running a Gibson single outlet on my Blazer. I also have one on my 01 ZR2.
I like it. No resonance (at any speed), nice subdued throaty idle, straight through pipe with no restriction. |
