envoy rear spoiler light
a brake light bulb is out in my spoiler on the envoy...
how do i open it up to change the bulb? it's a factory spoiler that comes with the envoys... 2000 envoy |

Its an LED. Mine went out on my 98. You cant just buy the LED section you gotta buy the whole thing (cost is about $600, MSRP is $1200 or so).
If you really want to replace and have some cash to burn, the A&L Auto wreckers here in windsor has one for $300 for the entire unit (good luck finding another) If you do happen to replace the the entire unit, PM me as i would be interested in buying your non-working one  |

ended up being the upper bulb on the driver's side tail light was burned out...
i changed that bulb and the spoiler/led brake light works now... |
