Early 95 Jimmy 4.3 in late 95 Blazer

I have a late 95 Blazer and an early 95 Jimmy and I want to put the Jimmy engine in the Blazer. Both vehicles are 4.3 CPI "Vortec" v6's but the Blazer has the side exit dist cap and the Jimmy has the top exit. Now from what I understand that means they have a different computer system. I noticed the Blazer has a crank sensor and the Jimmy does not, but it has a place for one.

Will the early engine work in the late vehicle providing I swap sensors, distributor, timing cover etc?

Also the Jimmy is 2wd and the Blazer is 4wd. I undarstand I will have to swap the oil pan.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
