Driving lights don't work on 02 blazer.

Found a strange bulb with 4 wires coming off it for a towing connector (I assume as I can't think of anything else for that) that got jacked the day we got it.

Well needless to say the exposed wires shorted something out, but what?

Brake light works, signal works, but no driving light.

I checked fuses and they're all ok, so I replaced the bulb with one from my own that I know works and still nothing.

Anybody can point me in the right direction?

Is there another fuse block I'm missing? Burnt relay? Any fusable links?

Re: Driving lights don't work on 02 blazer.

you've got the fusebox that is on the left side of the dash and then the one on under the hood on the left fender.

you're talking about the daytime headlights or the running lights that go on at night?

I forgot to say its just the drivers rear light only. All others work fine.

Re: Driving lights don't work on 02 blazer.

do you have power at the socket. if not then start tracing the wires and probing to see where you lose the power at.

Re: Driving lights don't work on 02 blazer.

I figured theres no power at the sockets at all. Thing is...this u-haul bulb is in both sides, lower socket, one side is still intact, so I put a normal bulb in. Looks as though the other side (drivers side) was ripped out while shutting the tail gate. DOH!

So I'm very thrilled to go poking around now

Was hoping for a secret fuse or something that would go out on a running light specific side
Thanks for the help guys. I'll be poking around this weekend.

Re: Driving lights don't work on 02 blazer.

I had no idea GM came up with the brilliant idea to have 3 (or is it 4?) fuses for driving lights. So I guess I skipped over a certain problem fuse...durr.

I combat that fuse with the GAGE on the dash misspell. HA!

Problem fixed

perhaps I should check each fuse individually...
