driveline issues

hey guys pardon my newness. ive owned this blazer for 5 months. just did a lift on it, bout 1.75 or 2 in the front and 3 in the rear with an add-a-leaf setup. my problem is originally the dude did 3 inches on the front and i popped the inner boots off, the rubber had turned hard since they are original. now that i dropped some lift i need to replace them... what is the procedure? do the slip into the diff or are they keyed in some way? also.. yeah lots of questions, the rearend seems to vibrate above 55 and it gets worse and worse.. it seems to me that tire imbalance would come and go like ive always expierienced, ive been told the rear needs a shim put in between the axle and the springs, but before i go out and do that i want ya'lls opinion so i dont waste more time and money. thanks in advance for all the help.
