door hinges and interior door handles

Anyone replace the bushings on their doors?

is it a PITA? expensive?

Also the Neanderthal that i am, i ripped out the inside door handle on closing the door one day... any fixs? or ideas? i ripped the plastic out of the screws that hold the handle to the door $#@#$!@! GM and PLASTIC ARGHHH>>>

without teh special tool you will not get the door spring back in. I have tried everything to get mine back in and it is a no go. So my spring is in the cupholder.
