Door handles keep coming loose

Not the handles... but the metal bar the handle pulls

I don't know what it is, I let other people get in my truck...like, the car wash guy or my girlfriend, and the metal bar comes loose where the latch is on the door. I have to take the door panel off, reach in and because I can't see inside of it, try and place the little metal bar wherever it will go until it works.

I have no idea what a permanent fix would be, any clues? Someone at the last show said he cut the whole door assembly apart to perm. fix it...

Anyone? I hate having to use my remote to open my door from the inside... and I don't feel like taking the door panel off again for a temp. fix

i think theres a plastic clip that snaps over it to hold it in there..not sure tho

there is a plastic sliding piece that should snap over the rod... if thats broke, use a small zip tie around the handle mechanics and the connecting rod.

busting balls man...take off your door panel and see whats up...the rod may be bent...that happened in my blazer

I took it apart, but I can't see where I snap it in, it's a pain in the ass, and it always comes loose
