DON'T Use Your 'Auto' 4x4!

I used mine frequently, for rain and what not, and I ran into problems. One day, I literally could not accelerate. It would take me a very long time go to from 0 to 20, and my car would putter. I had no idea what was happening. Apparently, my car kept slipping in and out of the 5th gear. See what happens when you use Auto 4x4 is that it keeps shifting back and fourth, and that is really not good for your car. It costed me several hundred to fix the problem. A mechanic at the chevy dealor told me that it is more or less a marketing gimmick. If you need to use four wheel drive, use either 4Hi or 4Lo only.

When it doesn't rain for a long time, and then it does, oil on the roads makes it very slick. I also have used it for snow before.

4wd still won't help you any

a lighter foot and being not so heavy on the gas you won't have any problems
