Dealer price on Envoy parts

Do any of you know how much Envoy headlights (pair) and front bumper cover cost from the dealer? And this is the older Envoy....'99 and below, I believe.

Thanks.

Re: Dealer price on Envoy parts

Yeah I know, but I was just curious. And I was also wondering how much of a discount GM employees get. 10 or 20%? I might be able to get something close and thats why I was wondering about prices. I know it wouldnt make it much cheaper.

True, but I doubt many Envoys would be there. Especially those years and if the lights are even there, or in good condition.

The bumper I might actually consider. I know it comes in white......is it called Summit white?

Thanks.

Your right, but you can buy it as a replacment item without the ballast, igniter, bulb, etc...just as the headlamp assembly...you dont have to buy it complete with the HID (though the dealer will try and sell you the whole thing))...i kept the HID system out of my 98 Voy when I wrote it off...thats how I know, cause I only needed the housing...

Re: Dealer price on Envoy parts

I havent ordered them yet (priced them out the other day though), but, right now i have 98 Vada headlights on my Jimmy. I have the HID system from my Voy when I wrote it off. I will be ordering the Envoy headlamp assemblies only, without HID (just as if say, you cracked your envoy headlamp...the HID is still fine, but, the housing needs replacment.). So I will be putting my old Voy HID into my new Voy housings and then putting them on.

Potentially, can you buy Envoy replacment headlights without the HID at a lower cost and just run halogen 9006's? Yes, you can...

halogen low beams dont fit, and HID sheild will block a lot of light.

Re: Dealer price on Envoy parts

Alot of people I see driving Envoys dont have the HID anymore cause its too expensive to replace once something goes and they ended up retroin halogens to fit. And yeah, the shield will block alot of light.

But, back on original topic, you can buy the headlamp as a replacment part from GM without having to buy the HID...weither you use HID or retro a halogen to fit is up to you..

Re: Dealer price on Envoy parts

There's a pair of Envoy lights on eBay right now for $450.

Keystone Auto sells remanufactured Envoy front bumpers for $175. Keystone doesn't have the lights though.

I guess GM wanted to cut down on the cost?

Re: Dealer price on Envoy parts

The reason they're only offered in black is most likely because they're gel coated. That's common for most replacement parts.

no its not gel coated, it polyurathane (sp)

They are black and need to be painted to match

Re: Dealer price on Envoy parts

Ouch. I wonder why they don't base coat them like GM does with most of their replacement parts.

By the way, I've been looking at the whole headlight deal since reading this.

First up is the basic headlight, the second one is the optional upgraded unit, and the third light is an Envoy headlight (a little foggy).

Re: Dealer price on Envoy parts

The first one is a jimmy sonoma headlight w/o fogs.
The second one is the jimmy/sonoma with fogs (i beleive you couldnt get these till 02...i think).
And yes, of course, the 3rd is the envoy lights

Re: Dealer price on Envoy parts

lets put it like this... i had the original envoy lamps in my hands
they come without the hids, and they were still kinda steep for me
plus they come seperate from the mounting brackets and u cant use the sonoma ones cuz they're different

so i just got the jimmy ones with the fogs in em and slaped a pair of hids in there.
the fog lamp holes have police strobes in em to take care of the open holes.
i like it. its not an arm and a leg and it looks nice imo
