dash lights wont work. Please help!

So heres the problem, I have a 99 jimmy with dash lights and radio lights, etc. that wont come on. All other lights work (tail, brake, and headlights) and the dashlights will come on when I turn the dome light on (by clicking the dimmer switch all the way up). At first they would come on with the headlights after I start the vehicle but as soon as I hit the brake to shift out of park they would shut off for good. After a couple times of that happening they wont come on at all when I start it, only with the dome light switch. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I had something happen to mine close to that and all it was was a fuse in the box under the hood......idk it that would be the deal for you

Yeah, make sure to check the fuses.

I checked all fuses, both in the dash and under the hood. By the way which fuse was blown under the hood for you?

i dont remember exactlly which one it was because it was a wile ago lol, but i do know it was in the fuse relay box under the hood, also it was a red 50 fuse, as if your standing at the drivers fender looking in the fuses closest to the air cleaner, either the INT BAT 5OA, IGN B 50A, RAP 50A, idk if that helps good luck
