Damn Rear Hatch Keeps Opening!!! HELP!!!

OK i posted in someone else's thread, but whoring theirs didnt work so i'll make my own post....

Ok i just bought a 96 blazer, and i have a problem with my rear hatch window staying closed. Whenever i go to park after driving, and i throw the shifter from drive to either Neutral, Reverse, or Park, my rear window gets released. So everytime i get out of the vehicle, i have to close the rear window. Then when i go to get back in the truck, i put the key in my door to unlock the truck, i hear the rear window pop when i turn the key to unlock. So i walk back to close the hatch, come back to my open door and hit the unlock (power locks) my pass. door to let my buddy in, and sure as hell the rear window pops again! Man was i pissed! And come to find out, the button on the dash to pop the rear window doesnt work at all. so i'm guessing the wiring got crossed somewhere??? anyone have any clue at all?? i'm gonna take a look at it tomorrow when i get home from work.

EDIT: Well my buddy and i took a look at it tonight, had the plastic off the tailgate and everything....and the only thing i can seem to find in the half hour we looked around, is that there is a pin switch just in front of the fan shroud, for an alarm, which is no longer in the vehicle...so i'm guessing maybe that has something to do with it? I DUNNO, i guess the old man and i are gonna look at it this weekend and follow all the wires back from the column back to the rear hatch....anyone had this problem before???

well the hatch will only open if the truck is in neutral or park. a safety thing so they don't pop open while you are cruising down the highway. my only guess would be that there is a crossed wire or a short somewhere that is causing it to pop every time you shift into neutral. that could take some time to track down though. in my 91 blazer the window would pop open going down the highway if i had the windows down. aparently mine did something similar but i never noticed it till there was a lot of wind blowing through the truck and it pushed it open.
