Cooling system

I bought a 2001 trail blazer. Actually I am not sure if it's a trail blazer or an S10 with trailblazer trim?

This vehicle comes with Dex Cool in the cooling system and as I was preparing to flush the radiator I could not find the petcock to drain it. Does this model have a drain plug in the radiator and if not; how do you drain the dang thing? Should I use Dex Cool to refill or will any anti-freeze work?

Re: Cooling system

it should have a drain plug on the bottom of the rad on the rear part of the rad. Take the skideplate off if it has one and look from underneath. pretty sure its white

use dexcool to fill it only

u can use the green kind if you flush the ENTIRE cooling system

if u mix the 2, bad things will happen. it will turn into thick goo
