converting spindles

Has any one ever switched the spindle assembly from a jimmy/blazer to an s10 type spindle? If so what is envolved? I picked up a set of 2in drop spindles from a s10 localy for cheap what would be involved in swapping them out on my jimmy? thanks for any help in advance!

Re: converting spindles

Search. Many people have done this for the fact that the blazer has more pistons per caliper.

Re: converting spindles

For some reason Blazers and S10s both use different spindles... but it'll cost more then it's worth. It would be cheaper to just get the blazer drop spindles then to take all the work to just single piston calipers on your heavier blazer.

yeah, it would be cheaper to get the right spindles than trying to swap over the brakes too, unless you can get some decent ones from a junk yard.

only the 98+ blazers have the differnt spindles.

There is no such thing as a FWD s10. Every s10 out there has been built on the same chassis. You can use the same spindle on any year dime and it'll work, blazers are a bit different after 98.
