Re: cleared out headlight help

Yes, regular clear silicone will work fine. Make sure not to get any smudges or fingerprints on the inside of the headlights before putting them back together. I don't remember any black rubber around my headlights.

Re: cleared out headlight help

i never used the oven...i've seen what could happen if you leave the headlights in there too long....not pretty. all i did was the slow, but sure way. used a hair dryer and heated up the edges and slowly pryed at the edges with a flat tip screw driver. Took about 2 hours for each assembly, i went slow so i was VERY careful, but it was 2 hours well worth it.

Re: cleared out headlight help

id say it took me 15 seconds to get each lens apart (not counting the 6.5 minute bake time).....and no problems with melting or anything....so as long as you watch and be careful the oven wont hurt anything
