Cheap Ideas?

Well, here is my 99 4 door. I posted it in the members rides but could use some opinions from you all. Here is what I have done so far.

Engine:
TB Blade removal
Airbox mod w/ K&n filter
E3 plugs
All new tune up stuff including fuel filter
New exhaust

Exterior:
3/3 Drop, coils/blocks
De-badged, moldins, ect.
Blacked out corners and tails
Removed roof rack
Cleaned grill up and blacked out the bowtie

So here is my question, what else could I do that is cheap? Also, I will try to get some pics of the interior. It is the dark grey cloth. Not sure what to do there. Love the site so far and can't wait to hear what you think.

Re: Cheap Ideas?

SS mirrors - assumng you have non power/heated mirrors.. if you do have them, then nvm.

Check junk yards for leather seats. I scored both front seats for $50.

Re: Cheap Ideas?

Tint the front windows, and paint the frame like said above.

Other than that,I'd like to see some mirrors on there and some late model ZQ8 5 spoke wheels on there.

Re: Cheap Ideas?

Swap The Rear Bumper For A 95 To 97 Model. It's Shorter An Easy To Find. Dye The Interior Cloth Black W/ Dupli-color Spray Dye. It's Like 5$ A Can. Works On Vinyl Too. Swap Out The Front Bumper. If You Spray The Rims Tape Off The Lip For A Machined Look.
Most Of All Go Hit The Junk Yard For Ideas. It's Free To Look

Re: Cheap Ideas?

Some pretty good ideas guys. It is nice to have another set of eyes to see things. Ya know? I am going to try to paint the silver part of my rims gloss black and polish out the rest. I like the idea of the rear bumber from a 95-97. Does anyone know if you can still tow with that bumper? I use mine to tow my boat till I can get a hiden hitch.

Also, how is the DupliColor spray dye? Would love to use it on my cloth but I want to make sure it will not feel like cardboard or rub off on all my clothes. lol.

Thanks again and ya'll let me know what you think of it so far,,,

Re: Cheap Ideas?

yes you can still tow with it. i've used dup;icolor on carpet, headliner, doors, seat inserts and lazyboys before. the trick is do light coats. about 6 of them an ruff up the cloth or carpet ever other coat. then you can seal it with hair spray an ruff again, keeps it soft. for vinyl clean it real good with hot soapy water. removing all protectents an do several thin coats till you get the shade you want. damn i'm going to change my name to broke ass enginer.
