cabin air filter?
Is there an air filter for the HVAC system on a 2001 blazer?
my a/c smells like a campfire for 15 seconds every time I turn it on. Been doing that since the last time I went camping/offroading and ran the a/c the whole day in the dirt. |

Re: cabin air filter?
If there is no cabin air filter, how do you keep the air fresh? My s-10 pickup and Blazer are both starting to get that "old truck" smell in the air system. |

Re: cabin air filter?
After you run the A/C, turn the vent only on high for a few seconds to remove the moisture from the vents, etc. You'd be surprised how much of a difference that makes.

Re: cabin air filter?
The A/C stopped working a few years ago on my p/u, so I just use the fan to blow in outside air, and it almost smells dusty. |

Re: cabin air filter?
Maybe it IS dusty. Try removing your vents and using a can of compressed air (available at any computer store or Wal Mart) and blowing out the dust. As said before, there isn't any filter.

Re: cabin air filter?
Also turn on dash vents spray lysol into cowl inlet(may want to remove plastic, dont know if it will react with our plastics) when it starts to enter the cab turn it off and let it sit and do its work.
