Buying A Second Gen
ok....i have had first gen blazers all my life and loved them to death but now i have the chance to pick up my first second gen blazer. just wanted some thoughts as to if its a good deal or not.
its a 96 2dr 2wd chevy blazer with a 4.3, auto, power windows, power locks, overhead console, bucket seats, driver power seat, cd player and has 136,000 miles. its been lowered with spindles and springs in the front and 4 inch blocks in the rear. also has a K&N intake on it. the guy wants $2000.00 |

Re: Buying A Second Gen
Thats decent. I payed about $2000 in sept for my 95 2wd4door (fully loaded minus roof) with a 98 Bravada front end and it had 180miles

Re: Buying A Second Gen
the only spot is on the driver door right in the middle of it. its about the size of a dime and i think it must have started out as a door ding cuz i had it up on a lift and the underside is spotless! the frame is even still black.

Re: Buying A Second Gen
i really like the envoy grill and headlights. how difficult is it to change from my 96 grill and headlights to the envoy? idk what bumper to go with thoe. i want something with fog lights for sure but i like a sleek smooth look that appeals to the rest of the truck.

Re: Buying A Second Gen
Here is everything you need to know to swap to a 98+ front end:
http://www.s10forum.com/node/38 Also, on my Jimmy, I now have the actual Envoy headlights and Envoy bumper/fogs (with billit grill). In the pics linked above, i had cleared GMC headlights, Chrome GMC grille (w/ billit), and Bravada bumper/fogs. Just an FYI... |

Re: Buying A Second Gen
if you're gonna add the enovy lights, i'd say buy aftermarket HIDS the GM ones cost and arm and a leg to replace... i bought aftermarket conversion HIDS and it cost me under $300 for both headlights, includes replaceable bulb, starter/igniter/balast all in one unit, not the 3 part GM crap...
