buying a high mileage 4x4

hey guys, I'm going this weekend to look at a 1995 s10 4x4 (not a zr2). Its got just over 200,000 miles on, but they guy says it runs great.

Here's a list of all the stuff that he's done to it:
-truck tool box
-bed liner
-new starter
-new waterpump
-new 4x4 servo
-new back brakes
-new fuel pump
-newer fuel injectors
-new muffler and O2 sensors

He only wants $700 for it, but the transmission is bad and it might need a new transfer case. What all should I look at to decide whether or not to buy it. And does it sound like a good deal?

Re: buying a high mileage 4x4

any used truck is as good as its po.

if ext. cab, check driveshaft. And even if that's shot too, it's still worth it.

good deal for sure. I would buy it if i saw it and what you say is true. The 4x4 motor and tool box together are probably worth that $700.

oh and we need pics.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I don't have any pics of it yet, but if I buy it, I'll be sure post some. I'm going to look at it this afternoon.
