Bumper Hitch for 99 Blazer

I was searching and didn't quite find what I was looking for. I have a stock 99 Blazer 2WD and I was wanting to tow a small trailer (lawn mower, etc...). I was wondering what you guys are using to tow with? I want to go the cheap route because I just want to use my father in law's trailer every now and then. I'm not towing anything heavy, so I don't really need any heavy duty hitches. What brand hitches are you using, and does it make a difference? Thanks in advance.

Just go to the local salvage yard and by a used reciever. They are alot cheaper there, and you wont have any issues pulling a trailor.

the 95-97 have a shorter rear bumper and are interchangeable
98 and up have a bracket for the longer bumper and will not swap with the earlier models. I presume you could cut the bracket off but I couldn't say if it would weaken the reciever

Re: Bumper Hitch for 99 Blazer

i am using a quality 2 brand 98+ calss 3 hitch i bought for 69 bucks brand new due to ebay and pickup instead of shipping costs and what not...it was very easy to install took me about 25 minutes, it is the round tube low pro compared to the square one.....i used it to haul a fully loaded 6'x12' enclosed trailer from uhaul to go from southern cali to phoenix az
