Blower motor "humming"???
Hey everyone, I think my blower motor in my 99 Blazer is going bad. When using the heat/air etc, there is a "humming" noise that gets louder the higher the fan setting. Its pretty quiet at "1", but from 2 -4 its loud, and it doesn't seem to be blowing as hard as it used to. Could it be restricted somehow?
When looking at the heater box on the firewall, it looks like I have to cut into it to get access to the blower motor/fan....is that right?!? If so, how do you get the new one to stay in place? Also, this 99 is equipped with the normal A/C/heat controls, not the auto climate controls, which from what I have read use a different blower motor. Any help would be great. I did search on this (found mostly squealing issues, which I dont have), but if I missed a thread, please redirect me....thanks! |
