Blazer Xtreme (or Envoy with stepshavers) question

I recently just picked up all the body cladding from a 98-00 Envoy.
I also have just a regular blazer step shaver kit.
Today, I was dry-fitting the rear Envoy flares and noticed that the flare and about 2" from where the rear quarter meets up with the step shaver sides (because the Envoy and cap covers extend up the quarter to meet the flares).
My first reaction is that I need to now get the step shaver ends meant for an Xtreme.
However, ive been taking a look at some pics of X-Blaze's with a step shaver and im not sure if this will fix my problem.
So, my question is, to anyone with an X-Blaze, does the 'flare' part of your step shaver ends meet up pretty flush with your quarter pannel or does it 'extend' up the quarter a little bit (or, do your blazer flares end flush where the quarter and the bumper meet)

Anyone with an Envoy, do you have pics with a step shaver?

Hmmmm...i can see it goes into the wheel well to match up with the flare, but, it seems like the X flare goes almost all the way to the shaver whereas the envoy one is shorter...ill try and take a pic.

as far as i know your gonna have to custom extend the envoy one if you do the xtreme shaver. the xtreme parts do not cover any of the quarter
