Hello, I've been here for a long time now, use to frequent the forum a lot when I had my s10, now I'm working on my blazer and hope to be on the site a lot more. I told everyone i would throw up some pictures when I got the rims on today..
Yes I know its nothing special, but it's a nice start for now. A few things before you make the normal comments.... 1. No, I'm not going lower 2. I lowered a 4wd because in the winter I drive over an hour to college (one way), plus its different. 3. Yes my front end is FAIL, but I'll get to it with an envoy swap or something one of these days. 4. Feel free to rip my car apart, I like constructive criticism, and I like to know the truth. Day 1: 2000 4wd, bone stock, 80,000 mi. ![]() Day 2: Debadged and cleaned up ![]() A long time later (today): ![]() ![]() ![]() So that's where I sit now. I just finished building my house and have the money and time to start working on the blazer. This is a great hobby that I have missed since I got ride of my s-10. (it was raining today and I didn't feel like getting wet to take good pictures for yall, so these will have to do for now.) ![]() |

Re: Before / after pics of the Blazer
Nice ! I don't know what to think about those clear taillights. I kinda like them and kinda don't. I'm considering getting the black ones, but nice garage, BTW.

Re: Before / after pics of the Blazer
Headlights are still wrong, not even gonna lie to you! lol
I lowered it in the rear with 3 inch blocks and turned the keys up front (4wd) so I would say it is lowered 2/3ish The rims are 18's with 235/55/18 tires. I feel the same about the tails...some days I like them and others I throw the stock ones back on. Thanks for the comment on the garage, I try to keep everything clean and in order, the wife gets pissed cuz I clean the garage more than I do the house. BTW...future plans... Envoy front end, cowl hood, roll pan, ss mirrors, and some fun stuff inside because it's all stock in there. I can't shave the handles or anything because it's my daily and I also have two kids so I don't want to piss with that stuff. |

Re: Before / after pics of the Blazer
I don't think you're retarded for thinking that, but you may have a mental illness unrelated to that thought. Who knows? Haha, but if you like offroad trucks more, I don't think you'd be too into these kind of mods. No such thing as a wrong opinion.

Re: Before / after pics of the Blazer
door handles.....i used paint...and a paint brush from a model car set. J/k I used the krylon (sp?) spray paint for plastics. I know you can't tell in the pictures or in real life but the front bumper and grill are also painted with the same krylon plastic paint. I used some spray bomb clear coat over it all.
bob, no hard feelings, i appreciate your honest opinion. It was just too much like all the other blazers i see before. I know I'm not dropping or building a sweet show vehicle, but at least it won't be the same as every other guy out there. oh, and a few people might say "hey they looks pretty good!" In all honesty guys, i have not put much into this blazer at all. Not much money or time. The only things i had to buy are... tails....maybe 40 bucks on e-bay clear fronts....used 5 bucks on here rims and tires.....900ish lowering blocks....20 bucks window tint....125 spray paint...... Re: Before / after pics of the Blazer
How did you take off the badges/molding or whatever you call it on the side, I want to take that stuff off of my blazer. Does it just peel off?

Re: Before / after pics of the Blazer
you can do what i do and just use a FLAT razor blade and CAREFULLY go underneath it all and it will come up..its just an adheisive on there.. and then use some GOOGONE from like auto zone and scrub it a lot and then it will take the rest of the tape/glue off and it will be nice and smooth/clean. u can see how mine came out in my project thread..later |

Re: Before / after pics of the Blazer
blazerboy; I use a heat gun to loosen up the adhesive on the back then just slowly peel it off. Don't get it so hot that it melts just warm it up. Fishing line will cut right through the adhesive.
Cleaning up the left of stuff is easy. Goo gone will work, but i prefer to rub with my finger and get as much loose stuff off as possible then use a clay bar kit to get an discoloration off. Clay bar kit is essential for another who likes to hae a nice car. |

Re: Before / after pics of the Blazer
235/55/18
The rims are "rvm" I picked them up on e-bay, just search e-bay for "4wd blazer rims". I only had about 9 different things come up. |
