Battery?

Was driving my truck the other day and at a intersection my batt light comes on, watch it for a bit and my guage nothing changed and it went away. Got to work did a batt test, state of charge is 100% (new alt) health was like 30%. Would this cause my light to come on? do i need a new batt?

k now im confused, new alt in my truck already, replaced the battery, drove around today everything was good, and the light comes on, then goes off.. it only does this when im stoped for a long period of time at a interesection.. what cud it be?

bad/corroded connection. check all positives and grounds.

it could also be a loose wire. the astro van that im driving has the light flash all the time too and the lights go bright and dim at night at constant 1 second pulses. i think i have a loose wire somewhere but have you every tried working on the engine of a van? F that, it still works for me lol.

well i got warranty for the alt, put a AC Delco one in now, seems to be working fine well find out tmro!

charge the battery up, check the connections....should be good after that. I put in a new alt with a optima i JUST bought....was getting dead battery lights, guages went dead, etc....
