Amp location suggestion '04 Jimmy 4dr

I just picked up a JL Stealthbox for my 2004 4dr 4x4 Jimmy. I wanted one ever since I bought my 1998 Jimmy. I've also picked up a Pioneer GM3300T 300W amp to power the sub off the factory deck.

I'm looking for help/suggestion of where to locate an amp to power it. I use the back regularly for my dog, the rear seats are folded down on occasion (drive in, home depot trips, etc.) I thought about under the front seats but the amp is a tight fit there too, and I'm worried about keeping the amp cool. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I have the same problem. I was thinking on installing it under the back seat flap. The flap the covers the area behind the seat when folded down. My amp is small enough to fit there. There is also the jack area.

I had to mount my amp on the back portion of the fold down. The hifonic's are too big to fit under the rear seat. I've had no connection problems with my dog, folding the seats down, hauling bricks and sand for the patio projects and everything else. An amp mounted in the roof would be cool but I'm too lazy to try to do that. Good luck with the mount.

if the amp is small enough you can get it in the center console..that is where mine is on my 98 blazer..

Oh, I didn't mean anything by that, I was being for real, looks good. Looks WAY better than most of the hackjob stuff I come across, honestly.
