almost zr2?
Hi everybody! I'm new to this forum. Some weeks ago, I bought a 1996 blazer LS, and after spending a "little" money I got to make it work very good and now i'm very happy with it. Well, when I just bought it, I started to read this forum and I read some things about ZR2 (before that, I've never heard about it), I began to look closer to my blazer and it seemed to me that it is some kind of "fake" ZR2. You can see a picture here:
http://64.76.154.62/download/blazer/blazer01.jpg http://64.76.154.62/download/blazer/blazer02.jpg I looked the RPO codes and it doesn't has the ZR2. but I found the following codes: -GT4: axle rear,3.73 Ratio ( dup with 5 x1 ) -G80: axle Positraction, limited slip -ZM5: sales package, underbody shield -ZM6: chassis package, off-road suspension So, my quiestion is, are this rpos standard for a 96 blazer, or I have some kind of almost/semi zr2? Thank for your time! bye. |

Re: almost zr2?
sounds pretty close the zr2 had a small lift to it as well and a differnt wheel which had a wider offeset to clear the body more with the bigger tires that were standard. If you lift it I think 2 inches and get the stock wheels off the zr2 you will have a zr2

Re: almost zr2?
Nope. Not a ZR2. I've got a '96 2dr/4wd Jimmy with the same option packages. Go to www.zr2.com for more info on the "real" ZR2s.
