Re: all the Brazilian Tailights but where is the hook up

any wiring updates? nycblazer, sorry for stalking your threads lately lol

the only thing i am not liking so far is the lack of light coming from the lower half of the housing, at least on the side that doesnt have that "fog" light hole...unless im missing something? how hard would it be add that hole to the other housing? youd probably have to sacrifice one of the current housings for parts, but id be ok with that lol

Re: all the Brazilian Tailights but where is the hook up

PS if any one is wondering how to wire these lights so the turnsignal works independantly of the break lights its pretty easy! I did it on my cavalier when i got the Toyota Lights from a freind that has the Red and amber outers and the clear inners
Step 1- take off the bottom plastic to yout steering column.
Step 2- Clip white wire that goes to your turn Signal Column that should be coming up from the break light switch on your break petal.
After that is done the breaks will no longer light up when you press the breaks only your third break light.
Step 3 place amber bulbs in one of the old break light plugs.
Step 4 on the other plug, wire the positive from your Third Break light to your old break light signal wire this will now allow the break lights to work independently from the tunsignal. the third breaklight gets a constant 12 volt charge and is not effected by the turnsignal.
and finally You need to get a New Tunrsignal relay with out the load sensor. I Got an LED turnsignal relay because LEDs use less power than the Incandecent bulbs , normally the relay reads that the bulb is out and flashes fast, So the LED Relays have this option taken out so it will flash at normal speed.
Remember you are going from a 3 bulb signal (front and two break lights which was how its wired from the factory in the US) to a 2 bulb setup (how the brazillian and European trucks are required to have). In order to hook up the rear fog you can get an extra Bulb base and use a dremel and make a hole in one side or both taillights and hook a seperate switch up to what normally would be the break light side of the base. Or if you want four break lights you can hook on to the break signal wire from your third breaklight wire and wire the green wire i belive to the taillight signal. Some may want to toss it up maybe make the bottom a Break only and the top only turn on when the taillights are on.. or vice versa.. Its sorta up to whoever You can also do this to your blazer before you get the Brazillian lights so when you get them all you have to do is get an amber bulb and slap em on! or some may like the idea of the bottom break light on the OEM lights be the turn signal and the top be the brake lights Like how the newer Trail blazers are wired!! good luck! and Let me know when a new set of Lamps are in i hope i have enough money to get them, I will get them someday tho!

Re: all the Brazilian Tailights but where is the hook up

Lol its pretty easy tho its alot easyer than running wired from your front turnsignals and besides your bake lights will still flash with the turnsignal if you dont wire them to the 3rd brake light. Because the goal is to make the brake constant. The brake in alot of american vehicles goes through the tunrsignal box and the signal is switched to the turn signal when the turnsignal is activated thats why one brake light flashes. Every other country outside North america they are require to have seperate Amber turn signals except korea.. they dont really have many rules. So the only way to wire it is to take the brake signal out of that box so the flasher is turnsignal only then if you leave it at that you will have no brake lights because the wire has been clipped so in order to get brake lights back you have to wire them to the 3rd brake light which is already a constant signal

Re: all the Brazilian Tailights but where is the hook up

lol why not try it?? Ive hear some people on the corvette forums go in and disconnect the wire because they dont like the idea of clipping it that way down the road if you decide to get another blazer or something or you want to return it to stock you can just plug that wire back in and it will be just like factory youd just have to rewire the break lights back to the old wires. It took me like an hour and a half on the cavalier and only a half hour on the blazer (however i changed a few things around down the road) I originally had them wired where the top space was brake only and the bottom red space was turn signal only but I wanted Amber instead of red because when i had some one drive it to see if i could tell it was very suttle unless u were up close.. I wanted it to be like BAM IM TURNING there are def alot of Idiots out there so that was inspiration enough for me to do that.. So i had to wire the backup light plugs to the turn signal and put an amber bulb in it. Then i wired the backup light to a foglight... but i recommend doing as little rewirering as possible. after one or two times its not to bad but 3 and for and 5 get old real quick

Re: all the Brazilian Tailights but where is the hook up

haha ya well as long as he follows the wire from the brake switch he should be fine Wireing can be a nightmare tho so its def something if its your first time you need to keep down time and make sure you dont have any plans because it may take a while. ill see if i can find a diagram or something some times seeing it drawn out it becomes alot clearer for any one, if any thing he can bring it to some one who is a wireing wiz Id say id do it but im from Illinois haha if he were from the Genral area it would be easyer but thats to far away for a wire job Im sorry One Sick extreme i dont mean to be talking about you in the 3rd person haha Do you nave any buddys that can wire? Personally i think its deff worth the rewire its diff and people with Blazers and S10s would look twice ontop of the taillights it would be just a slap in the face " This exsists SLAP" lol... I know the first time i saw a Blazer from Germany up close i was like WOAH WTF i want those taillights.

Currency Converter

Brazilian Real (BRL)
R$ 294.00

United States dollar (USD)
$ 127.43

and thats not including shipping. the shipping will cost more than the 2 tail lights all together. figure that one out.

orangesonoma i'mma try to find out how much will it cost me to ship the clear 4 door blazer glass to the US. its gonna be alot i know that, but hey i might as well try.

it would have to be 6 glasses in total

3 for the left side and 3 for the driver side

left rear door the small glass & the big glass 2 pieces
right rear door the small glass & the big glass 2 pieces
and both sides rear quarter glass 2 pieces
6 total
or 12 if i get me a set
