Air Inflator won't turn on

Did anyone ever have any problems with the built in air inflator in the back. Mine won't work and i can't figure out what fuse to check. Hopefully it is just a fuse and not the part itself

Check the fuse block under the hood on the driver's side.

There should be a Map sticker on the inside of the lid.

Isn't there one for air suspension?

Also, did you check the inside fuse block?

Re: Air Inflator won't turn on

i checked the one for load leveler and its fine. Does the truck need to be running for the compressor to run or doesn't it matter. I think this might be one for the dealer, i looked for any blown fuses but didn't see any.

Re: Air Inflator won't turn on

That outlet is dead, but the others work fine, if you could tell me which fuse it definetly is i can swap it out, the big ole 30 amp fuse will require a trip to autozone though

Re: Air Inflator won't turn on

A friend of mine who works at GM has told me that these vehicles with the air assist suspension in the rear (envoys, trailblazers, rainiers) are notorious for failing. Either the won't self-level on one side or either side.

I doubt it's a fuse or wiring issue. Could be a mechanical problem with the on-board compressor itself. Have the dealer check it out.

Re: Air Inflator won't turn on

i could careless about the load leveling, it would be nice to have the accessory air compressor in the back though, but chances are they run off the same compressor, but it doesn't make any sense that the accessory outlet back there doesn't work either.

If its a large repair bill, i will live without it

Re: Air Inflator won't turn on

If the 12v plug is dead too it's gotta be a fuse. Did you try it with the key in the "run" position?

Re: Air Inflator won't turn on

Just start tracing the wiring back until you find where the power stops.
